Chelsea and Megan met at work in 2015 and instantly hit it off. They bonded over their shared interest in sustainability and how personal choices add up to make a difference.
Chelsea was particularly interested in environmental and social sustainability. In 2020, she graduated with a degree in engineering and a focus on sustainable technology and circular design.

Megan was growing increasingly frustrated by all of the clothes piling up all over her house. After working in fashion marketing, Megan knew about textile waste.
Chelsea and Megan started looking into just how bad the fashion industry is when it comes to protecting people and the planet.
When they found out just how much textile waste ends up in landfills and that the fashion industry is responsible for 10% of global carbon emissions, they started thinking about how to solve the problem.
Eco X Change was born from the idea of transforming fashion into a circular model that aims to reduce waste and extend the life of clothing, one closet at a time.
In addition to providing a stress-free way to get rid of unwanted apparel, we make sure that donations are distributed to those in need and nothing ends up in landfills!
